Brushytten

Great place to walk around, 5 min walk from the harbour to either start walking up or get the shuttle, lots of hikes at the top to get to all the surrounding mountains through woods, also cafe at the top and friendly goats.

Great mid-hike snack bar. Experience greatly enhanced by hunger and the fact you have to walk there.

Nice cafe and snack kiosk together. Great place to take a break, relax and have a tasty snack. Toilets are available. Wooden tables and chairs are also available. Highly recommended. It's a nice place.

Waffles are listed as “hot” on the menu. I asked the employee if they could heat up our waffles because they served them to us cold. His exact words were, “that’s as good as it gets”. I asked another employee for butter. She said they did not have any. Terrible waffles and terrible service. Would not recommend for a food stop.

Terrible service, I ordered an “English Breakfast Tea” was charged 30 Krone for a cup of hot water and was told the tea bags and milk was on the table, went to the table and no “English breakfast tea” in fact the only tea bags available were “fruit or herbal” tea. Nothing like what I ordered. I went back to the counter and the two young ladies just shrugged their shoulders and said “that’s all we have” so I said “i ordered and paid for a cup of tea and you haven’t got any” they just shrugged their shoulders again and were not interested at all, they just said “that’s all we have” - no refund, no apology, really bad service. I gave them back the cup of hot water and left.

Ideal stop when hiking to get hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls 😋

If you are hiking on Fløyen and the surrounding mountains, and you get to Brushytten...dont go left when you go further up like all the sheep do. Do yourself a favor and head to the right. It's a much more scenic hike, you don't walk on asphalt all the way to the top, and once you get past the winding rocky road, the view is nothing short of spectacular.

I got to this place while hiking and it was covered by snow. The reason why I am giving them 5 stars is because it was beautiful and they honour Mickey Mouse and my aunty is a big fan :)
